Abstract

A case study describes the difficulties faced by a multi-billion-dollar semiconductor company in Silicon Valley as it struggles with traditional knowledge management efforts in technical support due to the complexity and dynamism of its intellectual property. The case serves to identify emerging challenges and trends in knowledge management for high technology industries and others in the new knowledge economy.
