Lessons of Fire Risk: Awareness and Preparedness at the Boise Wildland Urban Interface

Abstract
Wuerzer presented current research on wildfires and planning, and the challenges encountered when urban environments are reaching into the wild land urban interface. Elements of his talk were the current wildfire situation in Idaho, Boise State’s BURN (Boise Urban Research on Natural hazards) collaborative, and preliminary data of an ongoing survey in regard to awareness and preparedness among homeowners.
