Abstract

The article focuses on the significant role of academic institutions in developing compassion among their students. It notes that the younger generation is more prone to the perks of the superficial things in their environment rather than have a feel for poverty, violence and oppression in the world. Moreover, the author cites the study that he conducted along with his students that measured the level of compassion college students have.
