About Thomas A. Guinn

Dr. Guinn has a Ph.D. and M.S. in Atmospheric Science with over 35 years of operations and research experience in aviation meteorology, including 22 years as a weather officer for the US Air Force.  Current research focuses on meteorology supporting general aviation, specifically weather training and products for improved safety of flight.  Previous research interests included tropical cyclones, boundary layer meteorology, and numerical modeling. Dr. Guinn also holds a private pilot certificate.
