About Thomas Skill

Thomas Skill joined the Office of the Provost in 1997 and has more than 35 years of computing and communications technology experience in higher education. A founding member of the Cybersecurity Consortium of Southwestern Ohio, now known as the Cin-Day Cyber Corridor, he is leading the creation of the University of Dayton Center for Cybersecurity and Data Intelligence, a collaborative catalyst for IT security research and education with a focus on experiential learning and multidisciplinary research across all academic units on campus.

Recent collaborations in program management, assessment and evaluation include the University’s yearlong “cybermindfulness campaign,” which provided robust, ongoing cybersecurity awareness and skill-building training for all faculty and staff at the University. The program strategy and assessment results of this effort were presented at the Ohio Information Security Conference held in Dayton on March 15, 2017.
