About Thomas Galvin

Thomas P. Galvin is an assistant professor of resource management in the US Army War College's Department of Command, Leadership, and Management and is a retired U.S. Army Colonel following twenty-nine years of active service. His interests are organization theory and management science as applied to military strategic leadership, defense management, and professional military education. He earned a bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics and computer science from Carnegie-Mellon University, a master of science in artificial intelligence from the Naval Postgraduate School, a master of strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a Doctor of Education degree in human and organizational learning from The George Washington University.
