Thomas Field wrote the book From Development to Dictatorship: Bolivia and the Alliance for Progress in the Kennedy Era (  Ithaca:  Cornell University Press, 2014.  ISBN:  978-0-8014-5260-4), which was subsequently reviewed in H-Diplo Roundtable XVI, 21 by Thomas Tunstall Allcock, Philip E. Muehlenbeck, Amy C. Offner, and James F. Siekmeier with the participants critical of Field's work about U.S.-Bolivian relations in the 1950s & 1960s to varying degrees. Field then responds to the reviews.
