Dr. Dixon joined the department in 2017. His publications include articles on Martin Luther King Jr.’s use of divine judgment imagery (2016) and on epistemology in the Dead Sea Scrolls (2014). He has presented papers on Pauline Theology, Romans, and MLK at several academic conferences. He is currently revising his doctoral dissertation on God’s wrath and Israel in Romans before submitting it for publication, and he is preparing an article-length treatment of Romans 9–11.

Before arriving at Campbell, Dr. Dixon taught as Part-time Lecturer at Rutgers University and at Princeton Theological Seminary, with courses in New Testament, apocalyptic literature and movements, Greek, and Hebrew. His classes will continue to focus on New Testament, Greek, and biblical exegesis. He has served churches in various capacities, including homeless ministry, worship, and pulpit supply. He lives in Buies Creek with his wife.
