Unified Manuscript Guidelines for "The Wildlife Society" Peer-Reviewed Publications

Abstract
The transition to submitting manuscripts online via Allen Track and the changes to the publications of The Wildlife Society warrant new publication guidelines. These guidelines present details on policies of the Wildlife Society Bulletin and The Journal of Wildlife Management and describes procedures for submitting, reviewing, and editing manuscripts. The intent is to unify manuscript guidelines for 2006 in order to smooth the transition to the new publications which start in 2007. Guidelines for subject matter begin on page 253; a description of the reviewing and editing process is presented on page 261; and details for format and style begin on page 254. Appendices are included for assistance in on-line submittal, standard abbreviations, and assistance in formatting cited literature.
