About Teri Aronowitz

Dr. Aronowitz has served as a nurse practitioner in urban settings for more than 25 years. Her clinical and research interests focus on promoting sexual health, and she has authored several publications in this area. Currently, Dr. Aronowitz is beginning a collaborative relationship with Dr. Pavlovich in the Pediatric Department at Roxbury Comprehensive Health Center. She has developed and will be testing the LUMBA project, a mother/preadolescent daughter randomized controlled trial aimed at increased sexual communication to delay sexual debut. Additionally, Dr. Aronowitz will be exploring the geopolitical differences between the Dutch and Cuban models of sexual education in an effort to influence policy in the United States. She will remain an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and will continue to practice per diem at BU Student Health Services.
