The focus of my descriptive research is to understand the meanings that individuals attach to their intimate relationship experiences and to examine nuanced behaviors and attitudes in romantic ties. The focus of my applied research is to explore innovative strategies for improving management of Type 2 diabetes. I draw on qualitative and mixed methodologies to study these issues in Black samples.
