PERFORMANCE AND RISK: EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE FROM MAH SING GROUP BERHAD

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the financial performance of Mah Sing Group Berhad in comprehensive. The financial data of this study is retrieved from the company’s annual report from 2011 to 2015. Liquidity ratio is used to measure the company’s ability to pay back its debt meanwhile operating ratio measures the efficiency of a company’s management. The data of the company was analysed using utilizing regression and bivariate correlation. The results show that there are two variables which are significant to the company’s profitability, which are current ratio and GDP. However, the operating ratio is negative correlated and insignificant to the company’s profitability.
