In May 2021, Mt. Zion Memorial Fund Executive Director and PVAMU Lecturer T. DeWayne Moore searched for the marriage licenses of the Patton, Chatmon, and Sloan families in the Hinds County Courthouse in Raymond, Mississippi (with UT-Austin filmmaker Joe Marks).
