Promoting Interreligious Harmony in Myanmar: A Guide to Training and Dialogue
(2017)
  • Tatsushi Arai
Abstract
This guidebook was designed to support training and dialogue facilitation between religious communities in Myanmar. It introduces skills and concepts useful for understanding how to approach social conflicts, how religion and conflict interact, and how to transform religiously-inspired conflicts. An earlier version of the guidebook was used to conduct a training of trainers (TOT) workshop in Yangon in February 2017, and an updated version was later used by the Buddhist and Muslim TOT participants to train diverse religious and civil society actors across Myanmar. A Burmese translation is available upon request.
