Proposal for Presentation

Terms such as “international mindedness,” “global society,” and “global citizenship” are used to describe the outcomes of an international school. The Dutch international schools receive government funding and are affiliated with the Dutch educational system. English is the language of instruction; however, learning the Dutch language is also of equal importance. This presentation will explore how the Primary Years Programme International Baccalaureate curriculum at the Utrecht International School in the Netherlands addresses the goals of developing “internationally-minded students” and “enable students to actively choose to be world citizens” (https://www.isutrecht.nl/pyp/primary-years-programme/).
