Assistant Professor of Counseling
My name is Dr. Tamika Hibbert and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and share information, so you can get to know me. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York but currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I have my Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership and Specialist Degree. In addition, I received my School Administration and Supervision Advanced Certificate Degree and Master of Science in Education with a concentration in School Counseling at The City University of New York at Brooklyn College. Nevertheless, my profound interest in counseling and education started when I attended The City University of New York at York College and obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. In addition to working as a Professor at Liberty University, I worked as a Professional School Counselor and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Georgia). Furthermore, I mentored and supervise graduate level students with their dissertation research in both the online and face-to face sessions and provide group clinical supervision to Practicum and Internship students. I also collaborated with associate professors to assist students with applying methodology as it related to qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research designs. I am very passionate about education and take pleasure in learning something new every day.
