Abstract

Social Networking Sites (SNS) offer a wide range of opportunities for libraries. This program explored the multifaceted ways librarians employ SNS as educational tools. 1. How do librarians use SNS and web 2.0 applications to engage students in research? 2. How can SNS be used in library outreach as a gateway to resources and should libraries construct rules for SNS? 3. How will using SNS affect students’ attitudes toward the library?
