Dr. Sylvia Burrow is Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Cape Breton University. Dr. Burrow’s recent research explores autonomy in social contexts, including relational autonomy, reproductive autonomy, embodied autonomy, and social autonomy. Her published work is internationally represented, appearing in journals and book chapters on topics concerned with maternal autonomy, sexual autonomy, reproductive autonomy, and autonomy in the context of violence against women and self-defence.
