About Susannah Cleveland

Susannah Cleveland received her M.M. in Musicology and M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas in Denton and her B.M. in Music History from Baylor University. Her research interests include non-textual description of music materials, popular music collections in academic libraries, and music librarianship. Her publications include chapters in A Basic Music Library, 4th ed. (forthcoming from American Library Association) and articles in Music Reference Services Quarterly, The ARSC Journal, and NOTES: The Quarterly Journal of the Music Library Association. With Joe C. Clark, she is the co-editor of the book, Careers in Music Librarianship III: Reality and Reinvention from A-R Editions.
She is active in the Music Library Association, including membership on the Board of Directors (Member at Large, 2010-2012), the Web Advisory Committee (2007-), the Career Development and Services Committee (2007-2010), the Preservation Committee (2003-2007, 2011-2015), and the Information Sharing Subcommittee (2002-2006). She was MLA’s Placement Officer from 2007-2010 and is currently serving as the Development Officer.
