Abstract

There is an important connection between emerging leadership and the desire, interest and ability to learn. In fact, John F. Kennedy once said, “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” I found in my own scholarly studies that high profile leaders around the world are those who are avid readers and lifelong learners. Research, published in Harvard Business Review, supports this assertion. In “The Best Leaders Are Constant Learners” and “Good Leaders Are Good Learners,” the authors outline the critical connection between these two characteristics.
