About Susan Jones

Sue Jones’ path as a faculty member at USM has not been through academia, but rather through work as a clinician. Past work experience includes employment at university counseling centers and private practice. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in Counseling Psychology. Her M.A. is from Marshall University in Clinical Psychology and her B.A. is from West Virginia University in Psychology.
As a Clinical Lecturer, she is required to carry a four-course equivalent each semester. One of her course equivalents is in the advisory capacity for people seeking licensure and certification. Her three other courses typically include clinical supervision for practicum students, courses in group process & procedures and professional issues, or other courses needed to be offered by the department. She is especially interested in clinical supervision and co-facilitates a yearly supervision workshop offered to intern supervisors.
