Dr. Allen has more than 150 scientific and engineering publications, many presentations to professional societies and other groups, and nine U.S. patents. She has served on advisory panels for the National Science Foundation, the National Academy of Sciences and was appointed to the President's Committee for the National Medal of Science.
Professor Allen is active in the Materials Research Society, the Optical Society of America, the American Vacuum Society and is a senior member of IEEE and a Fellow of SPIE.
