Abstract
Examines bulimic symptomatology in 478 female college students who lived either on or off campus and who were sorority members or nonmembers. Results indicate that sorority women had greater bulimic symptomatology than nonsorority women. Perceptions of pressure to be thin and knowing women who binged and purged predicted greater bulimic symptomatology.
