About Stuart Bagatell, MD, FACP

Dr. Stuart Bagatell is the Program Director of the University of Miami/HCA Florida JFK Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Bagatell received his bachelor of science degree from Cornell University and his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Bagatell remained in New Orleans for his post graduate training both before and after Hurricane Katrina where he completed his Internal Medicine training and served as Chief Resident before being promoted to Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency in 2008. In 2009, Dr. Bagatell moved to West Palm Beach where he currently lives with his wife and two sons. He recently co-authored a book entitled, “Permission to Die: Candid Conversations About Death and Dying.”
