About Steven Borzak, MD, FACC

Dr. Steven Borzak graduated in 1980 from Oberlin College in Ohio. He received his medical degree at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1984 where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. From 1984-1987, Dr. Borzak performed his internship and residency at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where he was the Chief Resident from 1987-1988. He completed a Cardiology Fellowship at the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital & Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA from 1988 to 1991.

Before joining Florida Cardiology Group in 2001, Dr. Borzak was Associate Division Head of Cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital, Michigan, where he directed the Coronary Care Unit, conducted dozens of research studies and contributed extensively to cardiovascular literature. Dr. Borzak has received numerous teaching awards during his tenure, and he is currently a faculty member at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the Charles E. Schmidt College of Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University.
