About Stephen Fadel

Hello, I was the Business Librarian at California State University Monterey Bay from 2018-2023.

In my early days I worked as a reference and instruction librarian at community colleges in Oregon and Washington State including Chemeketa Community College, Everett Community College, and Peninsula College.

More recently, I worked as a business librarian at university libraries. From 2008 to 2013, I was the Business Librarian at the University of Maine. Nice work, but lots of snow. And cold. I also worked at Portland State University from 2015 to 2016, where I filled in for the usual business librarian while she was on a one-year sabbatical. I also started and operated a small business (information brokerage) from 2005 to 2007. Here’s my archived business website—Fadel Information Services.

At work, I was interested in resources related to private and public businesses, industries, and markets.
