Abstract

This paper discusses developing an e-service testbed in order to verify an Internet web product design developed with the aid of a prototype manufacturing environment. A Java-enabled solution, together with web techniques, is employed for building such an infrastructure. By setting up a series of scenarios and running them under the guidance of the methodologies we developed, a global fast product design idea can be tested. Furthermore, the industrial practice perspective is also discussed in the paper.
