Stephen Jacquemin has held a lifelong interest in nature and environmental conservation. He is particularly passionate about improving our understanding of freshwater ecosystems to foster their preservation. He holds a BS in Biology from Ohio Northern University as well as a MS and PhD in Biology and Environmental Science from Ball State University. He is the author of over 50 peer reviewed articles and technical reports, recipient of well over a half million dollars in conservation research funding, has contributed more than 100 scientific abstracts and presentations, and been featured in numerous local, regional, and national news outlets ranging from the local paper to the New York Times for his work. He is currently a Professor of Biology at Wright State University Lake Campus.
