Abstract

The implementation of electronic health records (EHRs) has great potential to improve the quality of patient care compared to the use of paper medical records. An EHR offers many benefits for clinicians and their patients and provides functions unavailable without this technology.

  • Greater efficiency
  • Patient participation and empowerment.
