Very few governmental programs are implemented in isolation. Most agencies and units of government are involved in a complicated set of intergovernmental partnerships. In this time of shrinking budgets and heightened expectations, knowing how to collaborate effectively is more critical than ever before. This article reviews seven tips to being an effective intergovernmental collaborator.
