Abstract

The article discusses the journal's aspiration to publish radical scholarship which pushes the edges of received knowledge in social work. Topics covered include the need for career advancement for job security, the criticism received by quantitative metrics used to account for productivity and the problematic academic structures which are antithetical to the passions of academic social work.
