About Stephania Bonilla

Originally from Mexico City, Stephania Bonilla is an economist currently working towards her doctorate at the Institute of Law and Economics of the University of Hamburg. Her main research interests include international law-and-economics, investment treaties and the problem of odious debt. She earned her bachelor's degree in economics and women's studies from McGill University and later her masters degree in law-and-economics at the University of Bologna. She has been a Junior Visiting Scholar at Berkeley Center for Law, Business and the Economy and most recently, a Visiting Research Fellow at Columbia University School of Law.
