Human Resource Strategy and Career Mobility in Professional Service Firms: Test of an Options-Based Model
Academy of Management Journal (2000)

Abstract

This study provides a partial test of the authors' options-based model of career mobility in professional service firms (Malos & Campion, 1995). After clustering a sample of 117 high-grossing U.S. law firms into two configurations suggested by strategic options analysis, the authors found internally consistent relationships among career mobility practices and career-related outcomes.
