About Stan Malos

Stan Malos is Professor of Management/HRM at San Jose State University’s College of Business, where he has developed and taught courses in strategic human resource management, business law and ethics, and employment law since 1995. Dr. Malos is a former practicing trial attorney who earned his law degree from U.C.L.A., his M.B.A. from the University of Washington, and his Ph.D. from Purdue University. He has published research on topics including global staffing and offshoring, professional career mobility, affirmative action, performance appraisal, professional service firms, and legal issues in HRM. Dr. Malos also has presented numerous papers and symposia at professional conferences, and has lectured on work design, performance management, and comparative international issues in strategic HRM and employment law in Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Singapore as well as the U.S. Stan also is an avid scuba diver, an accomplished jazz trumpet player, and a rabid San Jose Sharks hockey fan.
