About Stan Sears

Sears teaches sculpture and 3-D design. His professional career includes commissioned public sculpture and the design of urban spaces in towns and cities throughout the United States. For example, he and his collaborative partner, Andrea Myklebust, have created several mosaic floor designs for the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport as well as the Hubert H. Humphrey terminal. They also collaborated on a 66-foot-tall public sculpture for the city of Hamilton, Ohio, and on a central pedestrian plaza and fountain in Iowa City, Iowa. They've also been commissioned to do projects for the Hennepin County Government Center and the Mayo Clinic.

Sears has been teaching at Macalester since 1983.
