Abstract

This presentation will guide participants through an exploration of the personal, cultural, and societal forces that affect HIV risk and engagement in HIV-related services among African American men who have sex with men (AAMSM) in the Deep South. Using an intersectional lens and empirical data, participants will be able to explore ways in which they can increase their cultural competence in working with AAMSM populations.
