Thursday, April 4: What is OER? 2:30 - 3:30 pm, Berry Library, Room 215 (refreshments provided) NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Join us for a guided video watching party! Videos will feature TED-style talks from 2 notable OER experts discussing the definition of OER and explaining the philosophy and pedagogy behind using OER. There will be time for questions and discussion.

To celebrate Open Education Week, Salem State is hosting a series of events and workshops featuring experts on different aspects of textbook affordability and OER.

Monday, March 4: What is OER? 12 noon - 1 pm, Berry Library, Room 215 (lunch served)

RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 4TH 2:30-3:30 PM. BERRY LIBRARY, ROOM 215.  NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Join members of the Salem State Student Government Association and MASSPIRG as they explore the results of the recently completed Viking Open Educational Resources Initiative Student Survey on Textbook Affordability.

Join SSU Librarians as they describe the library resources available for Salem State University Faculty to use in teaching and as course materials.

Come hear from faculty members Roopika Risam (English) and Maria Carles (Biology) about their experiences creating and adopting OER for their courses.
