About Sonia Rios

I recently obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree with a concentration in Education. My dissertation topic was Motivational Factors of Students Learning Spanish at a Community College Level. I successfully defended on October 4, 2021 at the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky.  I am a Spanish Adjunct Professor at two community colleges and at a four-year institution in New Jersey. I enjoy teaching the language and culture to others, and helping my students succeed with the language.  I am a native speaker of the language. My research areas of interest are topics related to education and language acquisition.
