Dr. Sonia Ceballos approaches medicine with a unique perspective that began when she was a child. Growing up in Northern California, Dr. Ceballos grew up in an impoverished community. Her mother worked as an emergency room nurse, and Dr. Ceballos witnessed the impact her mother was able to have as a bilingual healthcare worker and it was this experience that lead her to pursue a career in medicine.
She was also raised in a family that was focused on community, and she was taught that the best way to give back to her community was through healthcare.
At Intermountain Healthcare, formerly HealthCare Partners Nevada, Dr. Ceballos is an MD who is passionate about and specializes in women’s health as an obstetrician-gynecologist. Dr. Ceballos completed her undergraduate degree in nursing from Loma Linda University and medical degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. She finished her residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center and has also worked as an ER nurse. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Ceballos is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, and can assist her patients in either language.
