Global and Local Players in a Model of Spatial CompetitionEconomics Letters (2008)
AbstractWe analyze equilibrium configurations of Hotelling location games where some players compete on several markets with the same product. Such global players tend to lower product diversity across markets. The model is consistent with recent empirical findings on preference externalities.
