About Shuqi Zhang

Dr. Zhang is an assistant professor of Biomechanics in the Department of Kinesiology and the Center for Orthopaedic and Biomechanics Research (COBR). Dr. Zhang received a Ph.D. in Kinesiology specializing in Biomechanics from Louisiana State University. Her research focuses on the complex control system underlying human balance, and how this system adapts to impairments accompanied with human aging and neurological diseases. She particularly works with elderly individuals and patients with Neuropathy, Parkinson, and Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Zhang is currently a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB).
