Chapter 6 of the book "Teaching Teachers: Building a Quality School of Urban Education" edited by Joel L. Kincheloe, Alberto Bursztyn and Shirley R. Steinberg is presented. It illustrates how a community knowledge-centered teacher education represents an image for socially just educational transformation. It also mentions the few number of teachers who are committed to work in racially, ethnically and economically marginalized urban communities.
