Abstract

Because of the history of debt in Illinois public schools suffer with budget cuts. Many times, it will be the music and arts programs that will lose funding, resulting in a lack of music enrichment in the students attending the schools. Studies have shown that proficiency in music and arts can help with academic achievement, so to solve this issue, we plan to work with Chicago Public Schools and music philanthropists to raise funds for the music programs run by children.
