Presenters will provide examples of their work in the graduate Program in Conflict Studies and Dispute Resolution at UNC at Greensboro, including: a graduate level course in dispute systems design; research and service projects with a school for new immigrant and refugees and local communities; and a landlord-tenant dispute project partnership with local government. This facilitated panel will examine several different forms of community engagement used in higher education as tools for interconnecting pedagogy, research, and professional development. The presentation is relevant to both university faculty and any practitioners/community organizations who may partner with university programs to develop their practices or services through evaluation research or student assistance.
