About Shelly Perry

Shelly Perry, MSW, BSW, LCSWE, Diplomate, is an Associate Professor of Social Work. She received her BSW degree from Loma Linda University, La Sierra Campus, in 1982 and her MSW degree from the State University of New York, Albany, in 1983. Her social work experience is in medical social work, home care, working with adolescents in group homes, and coordinating internships both at Loma Linda University and Andrews University. Ms. Perry conducts professional presentations on child abuse prevention and family wellness. Since 2003 she has been active in the practice community as a therapist at Samaritan Counseling Center, where she is currently the clinical director. She has sponsored many continuing education sessions for field instructors and area practitioners. Her areas of research are in field instruction, refugee women, and family wellness.
