About Shawna Shields

As a Ph.D. Candidate, I study knowledge translation, or the synthesis of evidence into action or practice. My research focuses on the field of environmental health and the work of environmental health officers. I am perpetually curious about the process of implementing change in real life in order to transform practice. I use my academic knowledge to develop and inspire creative solutions to problems through the use of sound leadership, facilitation, collaboration, research, teaching, problem solving, analytical and communication skills in my day job as a manager of change and transformation where I communicate, train, process reset (Lean) and consult with the end users of the change (user experience).
