About Shawn Powell Joseph

My mission is simple: To be prepared to give up what I am today for that which I could become. Practitioner-scholars work in the void that exists between theory and practical application. As a practicing accounting consultant and doctoral student it is my goal to bridge this chasm. Specifically, my research is focused on the impact of the convergence and harmonization of International Financial Reporting Standards with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles of the United States on smaller publicly traded U.S. companies. All of my scholarly endeavors are conducted for two chief aims: 1) to contribute to the body of knowledge and 2) to add value to my clients.
