About Shatakshee Dhongde

Shatakshee Dhongde is an Assistant Professor in the School of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside . Her research has focused on studying the impact of globalization on economic growth and inequality, measuring poverty, segregation and multidimensional deprivation. Her work has been published in leading economics journals, including the Journal of Economic Inequality, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, the Review of Income and Wealth and World Development. In addition to her research, she enjoys teaching and is the recipient of multiple teaching awards at Georgia Tech.
