About Dr. Sharon Wohl

New research in the sciences has unleashed a new way of looking at systems: through understanding how the dynamics of complex, non-linear forces can still result in cohesive and emergent pattern. Cities are complex entities that are constantly responding to an array of forces and (hopefully) adapting to uncertainties in responsive and resilient ways. Sharon's research examines the relationship between Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) theory and Urban Design, trying to discover how CAS can provide new tools to both analyze and channel the forces of urban change.
