About Stacy Fowler

Professor Fowler joined the Sarita Kenedy East Law Library in 2005. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Master’s Degrees in both Library Science and International Relations. She is a seasoned speaker and writer whose poems have been published in university journals including the Pecan Grove Review, The Tau, and the Pomona Valley Review. She has presented at numerous national and regional conferences on diverse subjects such as laws pertaining to women in the U.S. military and the current use of eBooks in U.S. law libraries. Professor Fowler's book about women in the military in film, A Century in Uniform: Military Women in American Films, was published in January 2020. Her second book, Military Women in World Cinema: A 20th Century History and Filmography, was published in August 2023.
